pagination in wordpress

Okay I'm struggling to get my head round this I expected it to be simple but I guess nothing is these days - lol.
Anyway I downloaded the wp-panacea and installed and i've some large posts and I want to have the broken down into smalled pages so installed a simple pagination plug in found the loop.php file did the alteration but no luck but it would seem the file is in the wrong theme but them gets me thinking this is more of a rocketheme quirk than a wp one.
So how do you guys add in pagination to beak up pages into more sensible sized posts.

- Hi, the pagination only controls navigation between individual posts. Nothing we have in the theme itself allows you to break individual posts into pieces like that. You might want to search for "page break" plugins? That's what it's called in Joomla, I don't know if there is anything for Wordpress like that.
