Hosting Company screwed me with php 5.3 upgrade? Please help

Please point me to I am sure the dozens of links on here on how to fix our sites when the servers upgrade to php 5.3.
Right now my main site is
a Joomla 2.5 install with momentum and the RokGallery just disappeared overnight after the php 5.3 upgrade...

If this is a site that is online could you please supply a link so we can better diagnose the issue?

What happened was I went to install the latest version of RokGallery on top of the one in the version I had -- when I did that -- it threw three very nice errors about PHP not having certain things enabled. My server host told me I had an older PHP.INI file causing the problem so I am fairly certain the site works fine with PHP 5.3 but my migration process could have been smoother had I known to delete the php.ini file first.

I'm thinking about making this a sticky as it seems a lot of hosters are finally starting to move from 5.2.x to 5.3.x
