RT website very slow

    • Hi,
      Has Rockettheme changed its website hosting? The last 2 weeks or so, the site, demo's, forum are extremely slow. Pages take about a minute to load and very often even do not load properly at all. :cry:

    • No, nothing has changed and it's still fast for me.

      It's possible that your ISP or its partners changed routing or peering agreements. This is nothing they tell their customers.

      If you try with another computer or ISP, does it help?

      I allready tried it at several locations with different ISPs, but the site is slow everywhere. Opening this tread took 1:05.379 :D

      Below are ping and tracert numbers to rockettheme.com . The problem seems to be with above.net in the US. I have told my ISP about the problem, maybe RT should do it from their side as well.

    • I am normally using Firefox and there the site is till very slow. This morning I opened Chrome and there your site is very fast. It might have something to do with Chrome pre-loading pages, but the difference is huge. Also tried IE9 and there the speed is not so good as with Chrome, but much much better than with Firefox.

    • The joomla demo page is pain-wrecking slow. And no there's nothing wrong on my end.

    • Sorry but there's nothing we can do to fix this as it doesn't happen to all users and it's fast for me.

      Maybe changing browser, clearing cache and cookies might make a difference for some people.

      About the forum, it takes less than a second to load for me so the slow speeds might be a peering agreement issue and there's nothing we can do about that stuff.

    • nahhhh I know all that. It's not really any news what you suggest. Your demo site is extremely slow no matter the excuses ;)
