Hi, phlux0r, me again!!
I completely deleted all the Joomla_RT_Simplix and uploaded again into the public_html folder as you said, but I have tried to point my browser to it and for some reason (my stupidity ???) I can't connect.
Could you check my screenshot and type out the url I should be using.

Also if I did not want to use joomla what folders do I need to upload to just have the RT template c/w all the images and text like the simplix demo?

Yep, this time you did it right... just go to:
thailandadoption.net/Joomla_RT_Simplix/
and continue.
You will also need to create a database for your site. Your hosting panel should allow you to do that. You need to create the database and a user for that database. You will need those details for the installation process in Step 1. After that, it should be straightforward.
As far as using the tempalte without Joomla goes, it could be tricky depending on your level of knowledge about PHP and the Joomla template structure. Particulartly since RT templates have (quite) a bit of custom code for the menus and such it would be involved to divorce the template from Joomla.

I don't know why my browser refused to take me to the RTlauncher page. maybe a cache issue? Anyhow it worked this time so I'm clicking my heels
Just in case I have another emergency could i have your home telephone and cell phone numbers for live support..............just kidding :
I'll leave the templates without joomla well alone. i LOL when I read "it could be tricky depending on your level of knowledge about PHP and the Joomla template structure. " after my few days of mistakes even getting to the first page of the RTLauncher I think my level of knowledge is embarrassing self evident.............one sure thing its good at making me a little humbler.
The friendlness and willingness to help of the RT family is amazing and a great example to me.

Just as I thought it was all plain sailing I've hit a snag. If you go to

you will see that instead of going directly to my new simplx template I have a few links, please could someone explain how I solve this

Thanks James for holding in here with me : I don't understand your question James but that's just my ineptitude not your grammar ;D
Anyhow, simply put, when someone goes to www.thailandadoption.net they should link directly to my simplix template page and not the current page showing the choice of 3 links where they can then go to the simplix template. So how do I make this happen?

You would move all the files and folders from within the Joomla_RT_Simplix directory to its parent folders
A file/folder is in public_html/Joomla_RT_Simplix such as /administrator and index.php
All these files need to bed moved to the parent directory. You can normally does this with your FTP client by right clicking on them and selecting Move.
Once the Joomla_RT_Simplix directory is empty, you can delete it.
The final step is to changed the references to the old directory in configuration.php

I'm amazed and I bet you're glad........its done
Though when you told me to: "The final step is to changed the references to the old directory in configuration.php" my heart skipped a beat and was sure that another blunder of mine was on its way. I thought - "php" - whats that, a disease............but............it worked.
So I am chuffed with my high level technical ability : LOL
