SOLVED Pre-Sales Question on Logos

  • SOLVED Pre-Sales Question on Logos

    • Hello,

I'm looking through the Joomla templates and there are few I'd like to use, however the logo size is much smaller then the logo I plan on using. I looked at the tutorials on how to change the logo in the demos, however it doesn't, or at least I didn't see, it cover changing the sizing. My logo is about the size of the RocketTheme logo and before I make a purchase I want to make sure I can change that and not throw the whole template out of wack.

From reading other post I see that you can turn off the logo in the template manager so I assume maybe I can simply add an image in a module and place in location I want, say Top A or C, or where ever.

The ones I'm most interested in is Diametric and Ionosphere, at least at the moment..

      Thanks,
      Bob

What you've been reading about is for people that want to use the logo but supply their own text for it.
Yes the Template Manager allows you to choose the module position you want the logo to be placed.

For you the easiest thing would be to replace the existing logo.png with yours.

Most of our newer templates have an auto-size function and for those that don't then we can help you in the forums.

    • From my experience the autosize doesn't always work, especially if your logo is large (see www.bajafishhunter.com for an example). So when the sizing doesn't work, you will need to edit the CSS for the logo to make it come out correctly. Which isn't hard if you have firebug. You can play around and get the exact changes before you make them.

I've never had a problem with auto-size do you have a thread on this issue so I could take a look.

    • No thread because whenever it doesn't work, I just go in and change the CSS.

It should work and for me does that's why I'm curious why it doesn't for you. If you have a specific case please start a thread. PM me and I'll take a look.

I purchased Reflex and I did change the logo to my logo (a larger one).
      • the larger logo does not display at all
      • resized to the original logo size, it works, but not on Safari, on Firefox ( the only other I tested)
      • I'm used to dealing with css's and php files, but I'm not sure which one I need to change the size parameter of the original logo to match the larger one.
Would someone assist me with which CSS I should be editing?

      Appreciate your responses.
