Thank you for your answer, is it possible to have a menu on each side of the article? Until now I have a menu on the right of the article.

yes that would be the sidebar-b position. So if you ahve modules in sidebar-a and sidebar-b you have two side columns but you may have to use the layout silders in the template manager to get the sidebars on either side of the mainbody.

in the Joomla 2.5 it looks a bit different but it is basically the same.

I can detail the method to follow please, I speak little English and the tutorial is in English.
Do I need to know coding in php to make the requested changes,
I find that in the sidebars in the template layout silders manager.
