Hello,
I'm really up against the wall because it seems there is not a good forum option on my diametric 2.5 template which of course uses roksprocket. I was somewhat surprised to discover that currently there is no rokbridge module for 2.5. I previously was a member of the phpbb3 club, and I found this forum option (along with the various pieces needed to integrate it into the Joomla site and of course the RT phpbb3 templates) hands down the best. I'd like to... I need to... use it currently, and I'd pony up my enrollment fee today if there was a way to make it all work with 2.5. I read through the rokbridge forum and even posted my question there. Unfortunately it appears as though there is only one guy working on this, and according to his last posts, he has apparently moved on to other things and has ceased to work any further on this.
Well, first of all I'm glad I know as much as I do about this space otherwise I might have signed up for the club incorrectly assuming I could completely integrate the forum with my site. (While on the club details page it doesn't technically promise this integration it doesn't warn that it doesn't work in 2.5)
As Rocket Theme actively promotes it's phpbb3 club which consists of phpbb3 templates that mirror it's joomla templates I'm thinking that people who pop for the extra fee to have this visually seemless integration probably don't want their users to have to log in twice to use the forum... but maybe I'm wrong.
I would think there is a good business case for investing in the resources required to complete the upgrade of the rokbridge module as it should result in membership sales in the phpbb3 club.
Sorry for the rant... I love rocket theme... really I do... I just need a forum.
Kunena, while not nearly as cool as the above mentioned option could work for me in a pinch... however I've had quite enough drama with trying to get it working with RT and roksprocket... See post www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=61...63867&rb_v=viewtopic
And today I tried to install it again and It trashed my site so badly i had to restore from backups.
Ninjaboard is not release for 2.5, SMF has it's own integration issues.
So, all of this means that as it stands, a forum on a 2.5 RT site using rocksprocket is not possible... and that doesn't seems right.
I'm hoping that
A) rokbridge 2.5 will fall out of the sky in the next day or so... or
someone can advise me on a temporary solution such as another bridge like jfsuion, or
C) Provide a patch so that kunena will work, or...
D) some other really cool but unconsidered option.

Some users have tried JFusion and it seems to work although Roeland pointed out that JFusion have the same unresolved bugs as the beta of RoKBridge...
