template manager

    • I did the rocketinstall of enigma 2.5 and decided I liked reflex better. I downloaded the full reflex template and installed. I went to template manager and changed the default template to reflex by clicking on the star... for site. It says the default template is now reflex but it is still enigma. I cleared the cache in Joomla Admin and the browser. I double check and it says that reflex is now the default template but it displays enigma still. Is this a bug?? I tried PC's that have never been to this site....same problem. I could use some help on this.

      Thanks
      Rob

    • Hi there,

Without a link to page where the problem is on your site it is quite hard for us to provide the best solution due to so many variables. We try to provide file names and line numbers for code changes and if changes have already been made then our advice may be incorrect.

Can you please post a link to the problem and we will do our best to assist you.

      Thanks :)

    • Hi there,

Thanks for the link. I see from the screenshot that you still have enigma assigned to menus. Can you unassign it please as I suspect it may still be assigned to the meu items and that will stop the default being shown on those items.

      Hope this helps 8)

    • I can not find where to do this. I googled and I found instructions to unassign by editing the template but it goes to the Gantry page and there is nothing here to unassign?

This is Joomla Version 1.7.3 . Should I update this too?

      thanks

    • Hi there,

Versions 1.6 and 1.6 of Joomla should be upgraded to 2.5.4

Can you PM me with a temporary Super Admin access please and I will take a look to see what the cause may be.

      Thanks :)

    • Hi there,

Thanks for the login. I have unassigned the template as suggested.

Please check this is now correct and then upgrade at your leisure.

If this resolves your problem then please edit your first post in this thread by adding SOLVED at the start of the title and then select the green tick icon. This lets the moderators know that it can be moved to the solved section.

      Thanks for your cooperation :)

    • Hi there,

I opened the template manager > rt_enigma > assigned tab > and clear all checks so it was unassigned from the 41 menu items it was originally assigned to. This allowed the default to then appear as it should.

      Hope this helps 8)
