    • I bought the rokstories extension and already posted a question. and no one replied.

i just installed it, created 4 articles and published it.

i get this error message, displayed in the module position:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/components/com_content/models/articles.php on line 488

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/modules/mod_rokstories/helper.php on line 309

      what does it mean?

    • Hi there,

I am guessing it is something to do with your configuration of XAMPP as one message is Joomla articles and the other is RokStories, which displays articles.

I never use local development, always a live server but behind a .htaccess password. That way I know the site will work when I make it live.

      Hope this helps 8)

    • interesting point of view.

what program do u use to quickly upload files to the live server?

maybe if i work live , this problem disappears?

if i use filezilla, it takes forever.

      thanks

    • Hi there,

I use cPanel file manager to upload the zip file and then extract it on the server. Less chance of file corruption that way. Takes about 10 minutes.

For me, I cannot waste time building something that works perfectly on a local environment such as XAMPP etc. and then find something broken when it goes on the production server. By developing on the server I immediately see if anything breaks when I load an extension or change code.

      Hope this helps 8)
