    making my first template

Posted 19 years 1 month ago
    • Hi all...
I'm trying to upload and install a custom template.
I'm getting an error message that says it can't find the index.php file.
It's in there prior to me making my .zip archive of the template folder though.
Hopefully this is a common mistake?
I'm using the .zip ("Create Archive of...") feature in MacOSX.
Should I be doing it another way... for example, from a command-line app?

Seems like my .zip file isn't getting created in a way that is friendly with the installer on Joomla.

      Any help?
      Thanks.
      -Jeff

    • I see that RocketTheme templates are compresses in .tar. Stuffit can archive your files in Tar. Can you try this solution ?
