Hi all, looking at using Halcyon w/ Ecwid (cart turned off) for a product catalog. A bit unsure of how this whole thing with Ecwid work since it's SaaS.
We are wanting to go into the individual product pages and do some redesign of the page including putting roktabs in there (or something along those lines). Is this a feasible plan?
Their FAQs
have me concerned that I won't have enough control over the page.
thanks!

Although not an ECWID user myself, the page you referred to clearly states that the only changes you can make will be CSS. I guess that means that adding roktabs cannot be done.

I'd never heard of ecwid until I dug into the Halcyon template so I'm trying to figure things out.
They actually don't have their own tabs, that is some complicated hack someone came up with from what I'm reading.
Though it looks like it might be a good system, I think their individual product pages are pretty lacking and really want to customize and have be able to
- Have PDF downloads via buttons on the page
- Lightbox the photos
- Likely integrate some tabs.
I've done it all before with Mynxx/VirtueMart. I'm liking this template. It's sad that it appears to be so inflexible, wish that had been considered by RT when it was built.
If not ecwid, what other carts are recommended? I was reading a thread on here (that I can't find now) that seemed to indicate the VirtueMart is falling behind and not yet ready with the latest Joomla.
I'm just wanting a catalog that have pages somewhere along the lines of the two I've done shown in the attached image (Mynxx on the right).
