    How to reduce post clutter?

Posted 17 years 8 months ago
    • I have made a large number of posts & received lots of solutions :D

However in doing so, if I want to revisit one of my earlier posts I need to wade through pages of posts in my profile.

Is there a setting I am missing that would allow for:

      (1) only the original post question to show in "my posts" with related responses nested beneath?
Thus I'd have a quick index of posts and can refind solutions quickly

      (2) also keep the posts in the index to just the headers, suppressing content so the list is easy to flip through?

    • That would be built into the search, may have to find a SMF extension for that...just a guess.

    • I guess I wasn't specific enough ~ I'm talking about my Profile here on RocketTheme. Is there a means to organize my posts here?

    • Yes, but that will use the search function as a medium to locate the posts.

    • What can I put in the "Search for" field in Advanced Search if I want it to find all my posts.

I put Mr. S in the "By User" field, and then tried a * in the Search For but it didn't work. What is the secret symbol or word that = all?

    • Tried both " *.* " & " . " and both returned the same error:

Did you forget to put something to search for?

If you were looking for all posts submitted by " Robert Wagers " how would you fill in the Advanced Search Fields?

    • sorry, I guess I don't know either... figured standard 'wildcards" would work.
