  • SOLVED My server has been hacked, Javascripts problem

    • Hello,

      I have two sites that were infected with an iFrame malware ( michaelmazur.net/xml.php ).

      I told the host about the problem, and asked them to solve it.
      Yesterday, they said that they cleaned the server, but when I opened my sites I found what seems to me as a javascripts problem.
      These are my sites:
      www.etouchsite.com/home/
      www.arabshelp.com/home/

      I noticed that the first site is still infected, but I thought it will be better if you examine the site first.
      (please notice the scrollbar in both sites)

    • Clean all offending code from your pages, either by uploading clean versions of the pages or by doing a 'search' for the offending code and deleting it manually.

      Then when this is all removed, install Admin Tools to help prevent further hacking problems.

      Most hosts should be able to assist with loading a 'clean' backup if you've not changed anything for a while.

      If you visit any of these sites, you will notice:
      - A scroll bar at the bottom of the page.
      - Rokstories is not working.
      - Roktabs is not working too.

      It looks like a JS conflict or maybe missing files after server maintance.
      I have many sites on this server, but only RT themes have this issue. I though that you may help me find the reason of this problems.

    • The best thing you can do is to ensure the files are cleaned of any malicious code first of all, then do a side-by-side comparison of an original template file against your server files and update anything that is changed.

      This is assuming of course that you don't have a backup you can restore from and that you can't simply do a new template install.

      This is what is causing the scrollbar at the bottom by the way, disable it and it works fine.

      If I disable this code, the template will not support RTL, it's not a good idea.

      I tried to re-upload Joomla! files, and Template fles but nothing changed.

      I think it's JS conflict, but I do not know what to do...
