Problems updating RT extensions through Joomla 2.5 ?

    • Was a little bit optimistic there - can not find anything about it. Everyone refer to it as internal bug tracker... So her is what I found:

      I looked at some of the XML files used in upgrades and the one for RokPad (one of those that do not update) had a strange thing.
      <targetplatform name="joomla" version="2.5"/>
<client_id>site</client_id>
<client>site</client>

      Here is a link to a document about update servers:

      It says:
      Warning: The tag name is <client> for Joomla! 2.5 and <client_id> for 1.6 and 1.7. If you use <client_id> (rather than <client>) on a 2.5 site, it will be ignored.

      So the RT extensions are putting both the wrong and the correct tag in there. Could that make Joomla just ignore this? That would mean it would probably default to "Administrator" instead of "Site"?

      If this would be enough to cause the problems mentioned in this thread is something I do not know - I am not a programmer. But it is worth looking into.

      And this whole problem is worth looking into. These updates should just work!
