    • Hi, I have had my first issue with malware - I trust this forum so much I had to inquire....I have about 40 sites - 36 are joomla. Of course all using RT... :) The host ( I won't name them - starts with the number 1) has been really slow or non-existent in helping... they say it was a joomla "plugin" issue that caused the intrusion.... boing.. anyway.. I have worked 3 days non-stop on this... should I expect them to just wipe and revert to a pre-intrusion date? And if they do, would you recommend I then go site by site and update any 1.5 sites that are not up to date, 1.6 - 1.7 and then 2.5? I can't imagine migrating all the 1.5's to 2.5 without going bankrupt...what would you guys do??? Sorry if off topic... but as I said this is my MOST trusted source when the going gets tough...

      thanks...

    • Well, this greatly depends on the fact how often those sites change (do they have public forum or any kind of commenting areas or anything similar). If those sites doesn't change much, the easiest slution would be to revert to backup.

After that I would strongly recommend you to migrate your sites to J2.5. There is no need to go to J1.6 then J1.7 and then to J2.5. You can go directly to J2.5.

You will have lots of work to finish all those sites but to be honest you should have started those migrations long time ago :cheesy:
