Syndicate template does not work properly

It seems , that not only we face this issue, but when i checked the demo site here re the syndicate template, the 'home' - is not working good.
The showcase feature does not work at all. We looked at the hosting, wordpress, everything is fine, now the only way is, that the template must have a compatibility issue with the recent WP upgrade.
Please help ASAP, we need to have a fully functional template - we are a non profit.
