SOLVED sh404 / sitemap issues.

Hi, a newbie question. pls forgive if i post it in wrong topic. I searched all over the net to find a solution to my problem but no one seems to know a solution. So i try the rocket theme specialists. I will understand if u guys wont reply because it is actually not a template or rocket theme related issue.
Here we go:
I generate a google sitemap with Gsitecrawler. I use the sh404 component to generate sef url's with an html extension (working fine).
When i submit my sitemap and login to google i always have tons of 404 errors, though pages are working fine.
Anyone has an idea what is going wrong?
I already tried other sitemap generator software without succes.(acces denied and things like that)

- i use the joomap component on my sites. it generates it's own google sitemap. works great every time!

Seems i already installed this extension... only.. i did not knew u have to submit the link to Goolge :-\ :-\
. Now i deleted the existing xml file and added the link. I will keep in thouch!
U think i should uninstall the sh404 component now or keep it? thx GollumX

- sh404 is chiefly for generating Search Engine Friendly (SEF) URL's. SEF URL's are the most important weapon in your SEO arsenal. I've never used that particular one, so can't comment on it. I'm a fan of Artio JoomSEF (with Kanga patch)

Hi i tried and tried but google keeps saying it is not a valid url.
I tried artio as well and i have to admit it was a good component but it caused to many errors on my website (u know 404's) and i had an issue with the colorswitcher (VIII template) wich i dont have with sh404 component.
So far nothing is working fine. I will keep in thouch.

Hi guys, having some good news this time.
The reason why google kept saying the url is not valid was ....... DOCMAN!!! i exclude docman from the sh404 component for generating sef friendly url, because downloads did not work anymore in one way or another. Tried several options bur there was no way to generate sef for docman.
After excluding docman in Joomap as wonder the link was excepted by Goolgle (no errors at all).
The download section on my site is minor thing so it does not bother me at all from indexing by Google.
I hope this will help others for using Joomap and generating sitemaps for Google.
