    upgrade issue

Posted 12 years 7 months ago
    • I just updated a site from J!2.5.4 to J!2.5.7 and I am seeing "com-rokmodule" in the Administrator / Components list. I think that I must have installed it in the Discover process but now I can't figure out how to uninstall it. It is broken and doesn't work when you click on it. Any ideas?

    • RokModule is a fundamental component for many of our RocketTheme extensions which use AJAX in order to function so you probably don't want to uninstall it :)

Only these three extensions currently use RokModule -> RokStock, RokWeather and RokNewspager.

So which one did you have installed?

    • Hi Dan,

I found the rokmodule listed as a component without any additional information (version, etc.)

so I disabled it and the item was removed from the Components dropdown. However, I'm not sure that actually fixed the core issue.

Another thing that was happening at the same time was in the Discover process was the display of triplicate items. Odd, but my client installed everything. Consequently, there are 3 items of many items in the Manage Extensions area. And I'm not sure how to fix that now.

Are you familiar with PHPMyAdmin at all?

It's your DB that has the extraneous items, so backup the current DB and then search the live one for the redundant extensions and delete those tables.
