Or modify the information contained in the footnotes as "Cop
Posted 12 years 7 months ago
Hi all,
As I stated in the title, I can not find where to change the information at the bottom of the page.
I still managed locally, but once I found how to do it and it's been hours and hours I spend on it.
Excuse me in advance for the French translation English, perhaps approximate.

Before we can help you we need to know what template you are using, and other details you can provide. Can you at least provide a screen-grab with annotations?

Yes of course
Thank you for your quick response!
I use the template "Meridian".
Bottom of the page, I currently have: Copyright 2012 ... All rights reserved.
and below: Joomla! software is Free Software released under the GNU / GLP.
I can from management in joomla templates show or hide the footer, but that interests me is to edit this information.
But I do not even change what files using "Notepad" searching the text in the bottom of this page.

Joomla! software is Free Software released under the GNU / GLP is usually at the bottom of the Joomla administrator pages. Are you talking about editing or changing the administrative pages? If so, I have to advise against this as it would be copyright infringement.
The template however is different. You do not have to credit RT or Joomla at the bottom of your template, but they do ask that the copyright info be left on the backend pages.

Yes I understand!
I just wish not to appear "Joomla! Software is Free Software released under the GNU / GLP" and leave the copyright pages back, but you'll understand that it's safe where I'm stuck.

You will have to look at the core Joomla pages to do that, I cannot help you with that. As I stated above, it would be copyright infringement, and against policy.

In fact, I had trouble expressing myself!
I do not want to change the "Copyright". I just wish it did not appear on the bottom of the page. Possible or the law prohibits it?

Sorry, but yes, law prohibits it. Joomla! owns the copyright and the software code. Under certain conditions they let us and millions of others use it. But you cannot remove the copyright by law.

However, in the management of templates, you can not bring up the bottom of the page. So the word "Copyright" does not appear and the source code is unchanged, "Copyright is still in the code.
I wonder if the French-English translation does not change my words.

You do not have to put the copyright / joomla information on your template. There you can put your own template information including copyright.
Something like: copyright 2012, my company name, all rights reserved, is acceptable.
What template are you using? Sometimes the copyright information is part of the template in Template Manager. And sometimes the copyright information is in a module in the footer or copyright position.
