Heading tags ans SEO.

Hi all,
As u all know, heading tags is a main thing for SEO optimization. So when i visit some spider simulators to check my website, one thing came up. I always get the message there where no Heading tags found? Is this a template issue or just a joomla thing? I tried to add content without an wusiwug editor and put manually heading tags tot titles of pages. Worked fine bit is is messing up the lay out. e.g. h1 too large fonts, h2 too small etc..
pls help?
