Can not remove widget form a Wordpress site

Hi all,
I am using Wordpress Reaction theme and I have a problem in frontpage widget management. The site always works fine but now it is impossible to cancel a widget from the frontpage. When I save the changes, it looks like it worked; but refreshing the frontpage of the site the widget is still there and refreshing the admin panel too I see th widget in the sidebar.
What happens? Could anyon help me?
