Inserting Joomla Blog Function into Module Position

I would like to include the blog functionality below an article, but within a module position. And I would like to limit the content of the blog to a specific category.
I cannot figure it out, and searches have not helped.

- What are you using to create the blog? Joomla articles? If your blog posts are within a single article category you could use an Articles Category module or RokSprocket if you need more control over elements.

- Joomla articles. The Article Category module does not have pagination, similar to the Menu Blog type.

- I don't know of a module that will look like the Blog Category layout with pagination. Some of the 3rd party extensions in JED look promising but I've never used them.
