IFRAME tag being removed in GUI editor

  • IFRAME tag being removed in GUI editor

Posted 12 years 6 months ago
    • I have a problem with my IFRAME tags being removed once i use the GUI editors, i have 2 editors installed JCE and TinyMCE. If i keep the editor in the raw HTML it keeps the code but as soon as i switch it over to one of the GUI editors it removes the IFRAME and everything between the IFRAME tags..

I am using the rt_reflex_j16 template if this matters and the website address is www.npmahome.com

I have also removed all the Text Filtering for all users groups and used 3 different browsers thinking the browser was doing it.

It was working fine for 9 months then all at once it started doing this.. I do have 2 other super admins that might have did something but i can not find anything that strips the tags.

      can anyone HELP!!!!

    • Use our own code editor "RokPad" ... my weapon of choice

    • Thanks Henning,

That removes the code too as soon as i hit the HTML Tidy

Some of my users (editors) need the GUI, and myself for popups, uploading images etc... so much faster than writing the code.. I have over 75 web pages that need updating 2 to 3 times a month and speed and the GUI editor is a must

It worked in the past and kept the tags but now rips them out..

    • well if so ... better ask the JCE guys ...

    • but it does it on the TinyMCE that come with ALL Joomla templates and does it with the RokPad also, not just the JCE

this is what makes me think it is a Rockettheme or Joomla setting,

Anything in the Plug Ins that might be doing it? I have more hands in the template NOW.. and am afraid something might have been enabled that shouldn't have been.

      Thanks..

    • It surely has nothing to do with rocket theme.
Check the Tiny-plugin and remove "iframe" from "Prohibited Elements".

    • In the :
      JCE Administration ›› Editor Profiles
      then
      Features & Layout

I actually had to take OFF the support for OBJECT, EMBED, AUDIO, VIDEO and IFRAME elements. Required by the Media Manager and when inserting Adobe® Flash®, Quicktime® and other media file types. (Working the opposite)

The more JCE told me the more i realized it has a lot to do with the way the other editors act once you install JCE..

THANK YOU FOR you help Henning it is greatly appreciated!!
