help with h1, h2, etc. formatting

Hallo everybody,
I have a question about changing the properties of h1, h2, etc.
At the moment if I put some text to h1 in an article, then this text(word) comes on a new row, and after it a new paragraph is added. I don't want this new paragraph. But I have no idea where this paragraph is being added.
Unfortunately I cannot give a link to a site because I cannot do this online, the client will be mad as the text looks terrible.
The template is Clarion.

let us know when you have the site online so we can take a look at the issue. It is hard to guess with such matters.
You can upload the site to a sub-directory on your web server so it is not seen by the general public.
