yes, this was also done by the 'other' club. can't blame them for wanting to keep up with RT.
if you look through the yootheme demo, you'll quickly notice that the templates for the last few months all look the same. run out of ideas i think. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

- Copy they might, but you can't deny there's some good design talent gone into some of their templates. Well, I quite like the style anyway.

design, no doubt they are good at. however, their templates aren't very versatile, are 'generally' slow loading, and are unnecessarily complicated under the hood.
I am qualified to comment on that, as i have membership. Like with joomlart, they draw you in with awesome eyecandy, but it's mostly skin deep. I guess to most people that matters not, as looks are everything
As for the copying part. It isn't good at all. There is a difference between being "inspired by' another website and copying it. They could easily have made the shading on the edge of the yooslide different, or made it square, or done something else with the look of it. But no, they had to copy almost the exact design apple uses on their slider. I get 'inspired by' other sites all the time. But I modify it enough that nobody can tell. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

- Yep, totally agree...I was referring to the eye-candy most certainly...all the other bells & whistles is just too much imo.
