With a jaded view of a mod
the fact that Kunena has an option to blend in with a Joomla template automatically, so using this option can make it look pretty good out of the box with a RT template, would make it get my vote This image is hidden for guests.

Blending feature of Kunena is aging and that is starting to show up with the new templates (regardless of whose they are).
Fortunately many of the new templates (including all the latest templates from RocketTheme) solve the issue by including essential parts of Bootstrap, which will be the new standard starting from Joomla! 3.0+. The great news is that they are working fairly well even in Joomla! 2.5.
That said, we are currently working on Kunena 3.0, which will have new templates that are designed to take advantage of Bootstrap, if it's included in main template. Templates are already up and running, but we still need some time complete them.

I read that but I don't see anything about Kunena on that site... only comment asking to publish a comparison between kunena and phpbb.
How long will it take before version 3.0 is out?

I would have loved Kunena to be integrated directly into RT templates. Would be beyond magnificent if something with good event registration like RS Events or JEvents were integrated directly in with some sample events in categories.
RokBridge is epic for a free extension but I would rather have a fully integrated forum like Kunena with members able to see all aspects of my site when reading forums instead of the RokNavMenu Export issues when i add to the menus and the bridge php warnings.
Gantry+Kunena woot.
While I am at it might as well wishlist a gaming team template!
RokMiniEvents, RokTwittie integration sitting next to Kunena... yeah i dream alot..
RokBox should support adding links to the light boxed images would be great for Ari Cloud Carousel.
