Ok, so I have asked this question before, no real answer. I have now paid for a year of support hoping this will get an answer.
The Template Manager for Rocket Themes in Joomla 3.0 Load extremely slow. So slow, I can go get a drink of water and use the facilities and come back and MAYBE it will be loaded. (I have also had this problem in Wordpress, different server)
I am on a server that actually hosts Joomla.org, but this problem happens with other servers as well. It is NOT a problem with templates or themes produced by others, only Rocket Themes. Now when in development, I have to say, time is of the essence and this slow loading of the template manager is just crazy bad. Does Rocket Theme Team have a solution? Is there a plan to address this issue?
Please let me know. I am willing to try to work with the team to figure this out.
IE8, IE9, Safari, Firefox, Chrome
All of these slow. Just the template manager, and ONLY on Rocket Theme templates. Had the same problem on tow other hosts, can't believe it is a host issue and no other Templates, including Yoo Theme have this problem loading Template manager.
I checked your site and maybe there is an issue with your firewall on server. It is maybe blocking access to the update server and it waits for a network timeout to come until page load continues. The reason why I came this conclusion is the fact that when you finally load template config, you will see that it reports Gantry version 4.1.7 and it also says that you have latest version and that is just not the truth. We released version 4.1.9 today.
You can also check that this is the fact if you try to find updates to the extensions in Extension manager. You will also notice that nothing happens for a long time and at the end you will receive an error "No HTTP response received."
Try to contact your hosting support regarding firewall issues
No I did not. Hard to convince a large hosting company to change it's security for one customer. Rocket Themes Needs to change the way their template manager works (Especially since I signed up for a year of support). Because, (A) no other theme manager from other professional theme designers has this problem, ( it is the same problem across various hosts, and (C) why should I use these themes when I can find other professional themes that do not have this issue? Oh yeah, because I signed up for a year of support.
