[CLOSED] HELP!!! After Updates my site disappeared

  • [CLOSED] HELP!!! After Updates my site disappeared

    Posted 12 years 1 week ago
    • Hi,

      I logged into my admin panel and saw there were 4 updates available. (RokSprocket, RokTabs (I think), one other Rok something, and cedtags (joomla cloud tag extension)).

      I checked them all and choose the button update. Now I can't access my admin panel, I get just a completely blank page (no error or anything, just white page). Same thing when I go to the website frontend.

      I have no idea what to do... I can't even access the files (example, to delete the cedtags extension, or downgrade), because I use AceFTP component through my back end to do that... ( I host through my co-worker's server and I am not at work where I can ask him to check the files.)

      Any thoughts??????

      Thank you!
      Alina

    • Anyone? I'll really take any suggestions.

      I don't think it was the cedtags or roksproket or roktabs... since whatever was upgraded took out the admin panel as well as the website. My home page also isn't assigned to any of the above modules (cedtag/roksprocket/roktabs). Just basic single article, with sidebar-a custom html module, and mailchimp signup module. The footer also has 2 custom html modules assigned, if I remember correctly.

      Is there a rok extension/plugin/component that could have this effect?

    • First try enabling maximum error reporting in your admin. To do this you will need to manually edit your <joomlabase>configuration.php and set the error_reporting to maximum:
      public $error_reporting = 'maximum';

      It is probably set to default. This should give you a proper PHP error and from that we can determine what's wrong. If that doesn't work check this site out:

      www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla/336-how...g-php-errors-on-site

      it will provide some info on how to enable PHP error logging via php.ini.

    • Thanks so much, Andy! I will share this advice with the individual hosting my site and see if we can make some headway. Really appreciate your response.
