is WP any easier than joomla?

I've been a fan of RT for a long time. With out it, I'd have some pretty plain sites.
But lately I've been wondering if the grass might be greener on the WP camp or something. As I have "heard" the content side is easier to work with.
With Joomla and specifically RT's it seems it's not really easy for non technical people to edit content. At least, not if you want to replicate the nice stylings of the demo content.
For instance, demo content often requires mod custom with custom html and articles (specifically FP content) have a lot of custom rokcandy. So its confusing because content is located in multiple places. modules/mod custom/article manager etc.
Is this just the nature of the beast?

Try out WordPress yourself. I think that's the only way to compare.
For me, my preference is Joomla. I've tried WP, and I still assist in managing some WP sites, but for me it is more confusing than Joomla.
Joomla feels, to me, more structured and organized. It was a little too structured back in 1.5 days with Sections/Categories, but it's better now (especially 3.1 with tags).
Wordpress is very simple for basic users in terms of 'add post, have it show up'. And it shows in a timeline. But, they also have Pages. (anyone remember J 1.0 'Static Pages'?) So, Pages, Posts, Comments... then add-ons for frontpage display boxes... It drives me nuts.
However, some people Love WP, and it all makes sense to them, so that is great. Much like I cannot grasp the Photoshop menus, but have no problem with the Fireworks workspace... each person works with the tools they prefer. -
