Menu Class Suffix for Solar Sentinel 2.5?

Posted 11 years 11 months ago
    • Hello,

I'm migrating a site from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5 and want to use the same template, Solar Sentinel. However, in the template version for Joomla 1.5 it was possible to choose the menu style in the menu module. In the template for Joomla 2.5 there is no more this option. i guess that I have to use a Menu Class Suffix but WHERE can I find them?
Seems that bottom-menu is working fine but what the others Class Suffix?

      Thx a lot

    • Hello Franck,

Please provide a link to your site and a specific menu item with which you are struggling. Are you having a hard time determining which CSS selector to use?
    • Kind regards,

    • Hi Reggie,

Well I used bottom-menu for all menus under the main content component and it worked fine. I was lucky to use the same class suffix as in the Ximenia template and it worked for the Solar Sentinel too. I'm just wondering if there is a list o class suffix that we can use with ALL the templates or not.

      Thx

    • Hi,

Module class suffix don't change the kind of menu. See the attachment to understand what i mean. To obtain an horizontal menu or a vertical list menu, it's necessary to use a Menu class suffix. For the 2.5 template, there is no menu class suffix mentionned in the demo.

    • Hello Franck,

My apologies if I haven't been very helpful here. I think your only options here are to style them with your own custom-css or use an extension from the JED to accomplish your needs. It doesn't look like we have any built in menu class suffixes for a vertical or horizontal menu. Although, you can load different menus with RokNavMenu.

    • Hi Reggie,

I already solved my problem. To obtain the horizontal menu as in the screenshot I used "horizon bottom-menu" and to obtain the horizontal menu I used "bottom-menu" (both as Menu Class Suffix)
