don't render module positions for specific menu item

    • Hi guys i'm using gantry to build a website but i'm a bit stuck.

For a specific menu item I don't want to render the header (where the menu and all that stuff is located). How would I go about doing this?

I'm fairly proficient in php, but before I do any modding I would like to know what my options are.

Do i have to add a new feature? Add an if statement in the index.php file? What would the engineers here recommend?

    • Look at the Error: 404 template of the theme you are using.
      See how that was accomplished.
The Error: 404 does not have a header.

      Regards,
      William

    • Well there the header is just not in the html. I got that far.

I think I need to create a feature. Could someone perhaps tell me how to render a custom template when a certain variable is passed? The variable passing is easy, just curious about rendering a custom template. There is a tutorial for wordpress for this, but confusing trying to 'translate' it to joomla
