I recently received a complaint from a client using Microsoft's Surface Tablet & IE 10, saying the drop down menus weren't working. I naturally went to troubleshoot, but, the Gods smiled on me, and I found the following link (from the Microsoft Community itself), that revealed it's a major issue, on Microsoft's (ungodly) shoulders:
