Best looking Joomla site..

    • I was looking around at various Joomla developers sites to see what others have done with this CMS. I came across this site www.tnawrestling.com/ and think it's one of the best examples of Joomla in action, that I've seen so far. It also shows what can be done with a basic pre-built basic template.

It's not a RT template and is basic template is from another club, so out of respect for RT I wont post the template. However rest assured the template looks nothing like that site. I had a hard time figuring out what template it was and then it was only because of the top navigation buttons, that gave it away for me.

I was starting to turn away from Joomla because I was having trouble figuring out how to do what I wanted, after seeing that site, it kinda gives me new hope and lets me know what can be done. It also makes me have to take a second look at all the templates to think, humm what could this be turned into.

Anyway, I wanted to see if others would post up examples of the best looking Joomla sites they know of, just to give examples of what you can do with this CMS. Maybe something to get the ideas flowing.

edit.. btw I meant to post this topic in the water cooler.

    • That is a great site and you can see they put a tremendous amount of work in it. I would also like to know what template was used as well. Personally, if I had to take a shot at recreating that site I am pretty confident I could do it with one of the RT templates as a base.

I checked the link of tjhe developer and he does some nice work.

Thanks for the link and the ideas!

Honestlly I think the Sporticus theme would have been much easier to convert to that site, than the theme they used. It really is so diffrent, that if I hadn't already seen the other theme I'd never know it was built off a club theme. They did a total rebuild and it was only the top nav bar that gave it away.

If it was me trying to mimic that site, I'd actually do it with Sporticus over the theme they used, Sporticus right out of the box is so much closer.

    • I have seen a few of the websites done by Fotis, all are magnificent, I wouldn't say this is his best work but fantastic still :)

    • That wrestling one is great. Very well done. The design itself is pretty simple... which is good because it focuses attention on the content. The color scheme is great.

I've always liked this one : http://www.eurovision.tv/ . Its a pretty major site, and the design has featured in a number of CSS galleries.

Not sure who built it though.
