'Random' template loader

    • Hi Forum

I wonder if anyone could help me with this one?

I'd like to be able to load at random any one from a selection of say, 6 templates. I've seen and used a 'random image' script which will show a 'random' image from a given folder so surely must be possible? Hey there's the Random Banner thing built in to Joomla even.

      Any ideas please?

    • for every template that gets loaded, it has its own index.php and applicable css.

Because each template has different design elements and module location designations, i don't really think it would work the way you would want.

      For example:
USER1 and USER2 on Vortex is placed above the front-page article... but on Dimensions, USER1 and USER2 are full length columns to the right of the front-page article.

Some templates don't even use certain user-modules at all (compared to others) and your articles would disappear.

    • Point taken Robert. Thanks for that, I'll have a rethink.
