Nice white blank page?!

My page just went blank, I did nothing?
That is the strangest thing, first time it ever happened. I was working on it and came back and a nice white page was there.
I could get in to the admin area and when I changed template it still does it? Does anyone know why?
i'm using jodohost with bentobox and their database seems to be working. My joomla is 1.0.12.
When I view the source in IE I get this:

<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
But there is no source in firefox.
Please help me. ???

Well, the template files are working properly (direct access renders the "no direct access" message). . .
Have you double checked the file permissions on index.php in the root, and joomla.php in the includes folders? If they have changed, and cannot be read/executed, that could be the cause.
Otherwise, you might want to double check your configuration.php settings and permissions.
What was the last thing that you did on the site before you started getting white screens?
Also, did you try turning debugging on in the control panel? - www.gofftech.com Web Design

- also you might want to turn on php errors and make sure they are displaying to screen.

Thank you for all your help.
I think it might be something to do with the server, now I cannot get past the login screen without seeing a white page.
After I press login, a white screen is shown. Thought I did write to them about the problem.
Can I change the setting without logging in?
I did change the config file permissions to 777 and 644 but that did not do anything.
Both the index.php and joomla.php is 777.
Any ideas?
How can I find out if it is really the server?

like Andy said, turn on PHP errors, just in case.
Here are some questions in the meantime, however, that might shed some light on things:
1. Did you do the install yourself (manually), or did you use Fantastico?
2. What was the last thing you did before getting the white screens (were you working on the template, installing components, etc.)
3. Did you recently do anything else on the site, not related to the cms? (IE, use Fantastico to install something to the top level)
4. What sort of hosting are you on? (Dedicated, shared, VPS, etc.)
5. Does anyone else have access to this account, or do you have the only access?
6. How do you post files to the server? (FTP, Web-Folder, etc.)
Tracking these things down requires as much info as possible (just don't post anything that would compromise your security). - www.gofftech.com Web Design

1. I used jodohost app install. it created a database for me.
2. I actually did nothing, that is the weird thing. I had it open went away and returned to a blank screen, though my host did enable errors to show and it has a jce.php problem. But it was working fine. Though I can't get to the backend so I can't fix it.
3. Nothing I did out of the ordinary.
4. Shared hosting.
5. No one else has access.
6. I use WS FTP and joomlaxplorer
What weird is that after they posted my errors, the admin page went blank too.
Is there a way I can check if the database is working?

Hi Warren,
I'm actually have the same problem right now. However, I can still access my admin panel. What hosting company are you using? I've been on the phone with my host for hours with levels I, II & III support. No one can seem to track down the issue.
