Joolma Crashes, stalls and generally shuts down

- Hi
  I'm trying to run any template and sooner or later by working or even viewing the site it freezes.
  It looks like it crashed the server, but it only locks the users out from all services on the server.
  It seems as if the mail, ftp ssh and apache are restarting, so after 10 minutes or so everything in running again, until you work on the joolma site.
  
  This only affects the user and his ability to access any function on the server where the joolma is on.
  Any ideas???

- Allan - this sounds like an issue with the server and not necessarily Joomla. Have you tried logging a ticket w/ you host? It may be that there are issues with the particular server you are on. You could ask to be moved to another server to see if it resolves the issue.

  I have gone the tech route.
  The server has not crashed nor has the services restarted.
  I had my secretary go on the site and she too was frozen out, yet I had no problems accessing the site while she was frozen.
  I have tried on both Mac and PC ...same.

- What did tech support say?
  
  Maybe try a reinstall of your site? Take a backup of your current site and try a fresh install. If that doesnt work then maybe try creating a new db.

  Ya we've done all that, blew away the site completely, remade the site, reinstalled Joolma from both rockettheme and without.
  even install manually install.
  
  Has no one else seen this problem?
