Moved directory of site...lost css formatting...

Posted 17 years 3 months ago
    • Hey all,
I've created a good looking site for a client, went to move the entire site to the actual directory, edited the config php file with respect to the absolute paths, changed permissions on necessary folders....lost formatting completely - I'm guessing it's css formatting.

Anyone else come across this? It was a rocketlauncher elemental, and I'm considering re-installing joomla...really don't want to... ???

    • Did you try to clean the browser and the site cache, and then to reload the page? Do you have a link?

    • yes...it's all goofed up. I'm working with my server account manager right now.

      original: www.changlees.tm41.com

      new: timmiller.securesites.net/~timmiller/changleesmartialarts.com/

I did a css validation test and it said it couldn't find any css files, like the rok css files within certain template directories, even the template_css.css file- it said couldn't find...yet it is there. Permissions are all good. I've 777'd every thing from the root down, (just for testing) and still nothing...

    • Is it a different server? Did you try to reinstall the template? Is it on a new domain or subdomain?

    • Same server. Using shell access, copied entire directory from one domain (directory) to a different domain. I didn't try to re-install the template, but switching templates in admin makes no change. Also, I can get into admin without formatting issues- the back end works out just fine in the new location.
