unable to change the width of my home sidebar

Hi !
Am having difficulty changing the width of my home page sidebar by altering the position of the mainbody inside the template settings but it doesn't commit the changes. I reload the page and it remains the same.
Additionally i want to this change to take effect only on the home page for both my english and greek template overide

Make sure you are changing the toggle in template manager > layout to match the number of positions that you actually have something published too. In other words, make sure that you are changing the correct layout.
