    • My site (particularly the homepage) is suffering from very poor page load times. I ran the debugger and found just under 200 sql queries. I am currently disabling some modules on the home page to lower this and hopefully improve performance.

      I have also found that images on the template which we do not actually use are being loaded. What is the best way to tackle this?

      What other techniques can be used for speeding up page load times? I've installed JAccellerator but it makes a hash of iJoomla News. Seriously didn't realise such poor performance would be experienced once traffic started hitting the site.

      I have now removed most of the modules from the front page but the forum is still pretty slow.

      I was thinking my next move would be to try and start deleting images from the css which we do not currently use?

      Any feedback would be really appreciated.
