    • Next time just fire up your FTP application and open your configuration.php and you will see your password in there.


      Assuming your database password and admin password are the same.

      I missed something... Morrison, you said you lost your Joomla! password. Didn't you? That means the admin password.

      PS: Always, always, always, make note of passwords, usernames, etc as you create them and back them up.
      I keep a file folder for each site that I develop and in I keep all the information for that site including domain name info, web host info, joomla info - you get the idea. Of course this is kept in a locked file cabinet to protect the information.

    • I got the password. I tried to log in but it gives me error message. I cannot log in to administrator page. Any idea why I receive this error?

      Is there a joomla support I can contact to? I send them an email yesterday but no one has gotten back to me yet.

    • Do you have backups of your data base and the files on your server? If so, you are good to go, just use the backups to get the site back. If you have no backups, this is hard lesson to learn, backups are a must. (I don't mean to sound like a nag, just trying to help)

      Do you have any idea of the last changes that you had made to your site before things went awry?
