Rudolph...ummm post in a forum where people help each other customize their templates is a bad thing to you? Ummm, that is a bonus...that means I can post and won't hear the crickets of an empty forum...

Dude, if you want to "Flame" here on this forum - here are some things you should know -

You kinda of suck at it and your points are not well thought out. ::)

The majority of the post here for hive in this thread are from people who don't want the "Bells and Whistles" you were so gracious to share with us. It's like saying well "My Spam can be topped with anything - look I topped it with eggs, and hot sauce and blah blah blah"...all the while everyone here is talking steak and a touch of steak sauce. No comparison...

Second...the support here is awesome...hint, hint we like the support and the challenges presented here on RT. So, you are missing the point and not looking at the big picture.

Why come here posting like you work for Yootheme? Why not add something to the RT community...and when your at Yootheme - add something to their community.

Try that for a while...and see how it goes.

      Good Luck

The template seems to play pretty well. There are always little tweaks.

      How about you?

I haven't got to sink my teeth into it...Crazy trying to finish a golf site I have been working on for some time and two...looking forward to upgrading this week and going hog wild on sites I have been sitting on...

I do know this...I will design my site with that template using both colors giving the consumer the choice of dark or light...plus, I want to throw a module or two in the header - one for a rotating logo and two for a banner. Other than that -- content is king with the site I want to use it for...

My biggest complaint is I am still a newbie and have not tapped completely into the power of Joomla and Rockettheme templates...but fear not - this Wingman will be Captain one day. :P

Nice. The one thing about this template I really like is that you get a taste of some nice CSS styles to play with and the bulk of the core template is clean. I am using SIMPLEX and there are inherent padding issues that play out that I have dealt with.

Hive is so clean that I can really focus on content. That works for me.

      Good luck Wingman.

      You too rudolf.
Im sure you got alot of options to customize your site. That portfolio theme is very interesting. That wide style is very appealing for me. I just got my $$$ on rt right now cause the people and support is amazing. Let me know what its like over there. I have a friend who would love the portfolio theme.

      Good times.

    • I don't know I think I agree with Webs, what's the point here" The guy doesn't like the direction of RT. No Problem, don't renew. Having been in business for ten years I have come to the realization that you are NOT going to please everyone no matter how hard you try.

If people have an issue with Andy and his teams design direction, take it up with him directly. I am sure he is agreeable to at least listening to his customers.

I will offer my two cent's worth, you can always find something to moan about. I belong to three clubs and this one by far has the best support and the most active forums not to mention the number of training tutorials they have for not just Rocket Theme products but Joomla Related issues. Sure things can change, but for now while I don't like every single template Rocket puts out, I like the vast majority of what they do. So for me I will be renewing this February 17th and thanks Andy and Company for all that you do.

Well, that is the point...one of them. But if you read - most of us are talking about Hive in a good way...and are happy it is here and are simply expressing it...other than that...idle banter.

Cool, thanks for your two cents - enjoyed it.

    • the thing is I used to like rocketheme and joined them because of the amount of quality templates......

.....however......when people run into a real issue....it goes untouched.....I had one a while back.....or you get an answer like it looks fine on my computer....i have seen that as Jame's response to alot of people only to have them go back and forth about but I see it fine... then ...oh well.....

...also I got turned off to these pointless bouts of babble.... which I have seen major players here get into.....

....this one is not the first and not the last..... I hope Andy makes it policy you get kicked for talking negative about other people, objects, animals, planets.....etc.... then I'll come back....so when i see that policy... I will join again...... ;D

You just implied - never actually put down what the problem was...hence, your looking to inflame.

You are switching subjects and looking to complain about anything...hence - now it is babble that is the problem.

I'm sure posting an ad for Yootheme in this forum thread and having Andy personally remove it is A+ in your book, but I don't agree, just like your current untrue statement above holds no weight. Whatever you do - join or don't join...good luck.

...what happen to your design? In my opinion the last sleek, great and unique design was Sept.2007 Firenzie!
From that time the design has really poor quality! For example the last template! Feb.2008! Are you joking? You could find something like that free on the Internet in 2minutes!
(I'm talking about design it self, not functions!)

I disagree 100%. Design is not an opinion, it's purely a concept. You are talking about style, that has nothing to do with design, and that can be a matter of personal taste.
Hive is the highest RT peak in terms of design.
