Issues with PHP 7 or 7.1 with Reflex, Gantry 4 and RokMenu

Hello, my site when updated to PHP 7.0 or 7.1 crashes on the front end with the following message.
0 - [] operator not supported for strings
The debug and error messages flag the gantry and template and rokmenu at fault.
I am currently running the latest versions available on Rockettheme but I take it there are compatibility issues? Can you confirm?
I also saw the pinned post above for PHP 7.1 compatibility but I am having trouble even with 7.0, so just wondering if there are issues with the Rockettheme components or its more an issue on my end.
I restored back to PHP 5.6 which is the highest i can run.

Update Gantry, roknavmenu, and template to latest versions and it should be ok.
