    • Hey Everybody,

This is really percular, I unzippd the full rockettheme install for Popullus > Uploaded it to my server > viewed site > then without any alterations to the site at all (havnt even entered admin) I went to W3C to validate the HTML and it came up with 71 errors.

      http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fcaravans-onsite.com%2Fdejaizc%2Findex.php&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

This is weird considering the Popullus specs say that its W3C Valid ???

I am new to utilizing W3C i must admit but how can it have errors straight out of the box?

      regards

      DJflex

    • The template is W3C compliant, but not necessarily the content, which is what's causing the errors here.

Foremost, this is a template club, so it's important that W3C validation passes on the template with, say, default content. But you cannot expect a site populated with demo content to be 100% valid. For starters, who is going to actually use the demo content as-is? No-one in all likeliness, so it would simply be a waste of time making it 100% valid.

I would concentrate on building your site then worrying about validation later down the line, when what you are validating is the site as you've made it.

    • Thank you Dan for the rapid reply,

Im very new at using W3C and will take your advice in hand.

I will concerntrate on my site first *which by the way looks AWSOME*
then start on the validation processs.

      thanks ever so much Dan

    • No probs.

By the way, when you come to validate, more often than not it looks worse than it is, and fixing just one problem can usually fix 80% of the validation errors. Well, if you're lucky :)

True indeed. I once had about 30 errors disappear after just one tiny change.
