    • Hi Folks,

I am desparate. Here is the series of events.

I installed successfully first time Joomla, 1.5 with the Populus Template using rocket launcher. It took me a few hours!

Then I could not log into the administrator section. I tried for hours to resolve this, but now joy. (Sad this is I now know how I could have fixed this problem)

Anyway, I decided to remove the entire installation, That also took me a few hours, slow connection.
Just to confirm what I dont here, I went to my "public_html" directory, and removed every file and directory which were initially place there by filezilla when I first installed it.

Then after I removed all the files for the rocket launcher ftp upload, I deleted the database I had made. It was empty.

Then I started all over again (Another 3 hours) and used filezilla to ftp all the rocket launcher files back to the now empty "public_html" directory.

I then went to my domain www.ajholdings.ro and after all that removing of files, and then re-ftping back up again I get this message

PLEASE REMEMBER TO COMPLETELY REMOVE THE INSTALLATION DIRECTORY
You will not be able to proceed beyond this point until the installation directory is removed. This is a security feature of Joomla!.
Click here when the directory has been removed.

What I am asking for is a solution where by i dont have to delete everything again, but instead just the necessary file whereby rocket launcher will see it as a fresh install, as I thought that is what I would have.

I hope you understand and could help.

Sincer thanks for any advice in advance

      Aidan

    • Hi Folks,

Thanks to the help of Alan Bennetts, my problem has been resolved.

He advised me that if configuration.php existed in the directory to remove it.

I did, and was able to proceed with a successful installation. Thanks Alan for your help, and to any other folks who to the time to read my post.

      Aidan
