Plugin update problem

I have Fluent on my site. I just updated both Fluent and Gantry 5 plugins and it crashed the site. Got an error message thatthe site was unavailable and could not even log into wordpress. My hosting service disabled both plugins which then allowed me in the site. But nothing works. All I get in Wordpress is the attached screen which means nothing to me.
Any idea of the problem?

- That error seems to indicate that PHP does not have permissions to create a directory in your cache folder... did you also upgrade PHP? Ask your host to ensure that PHP has write permissions for your account.
