    • AFAIK, none of them come even close. Besides, this is something that needs to be done by more by Joomla(the core), and not at the template level (and the Joomla team have been quite lax in this regard.)

As far as templates go, you can try the inbuilt Beez template that comes with 1.5 though... that's probably the closest you'll get.

Hmmm.. I wonder if Drupal might be the better choice for someone with your commendable goals. Anyone else here know whether Drupal does this better?

If you stick with J!, I suggest 1.5 for this project.

    • hmm, i found this at help.joomla.org/content/view/805/60/

We will provide a solution capable of delivering accessible websites that comply with WCAG 1.0 Priority 2 and Section 508 requirements by release 1.5 of Joomla!

The Core Development Team focuses on front-end accessibility for the 1.x series of releases of Joomla!
Please note that while Joomla! will provide the ability to deliver WCAG compliant sites, many requirements depend on the template designers or content managers. As such, Joomla! sites may well not comply with WCAG, for reasons out of the control of the Core Development Team. In other words: “We’ll give you the tools to comply, the rest is up to you!”.

    • That was written ages ago. I wonder if they met the target for WCAG by J1.5. If they did, I stand corrected. In any case, there is no RT template that meets your needs fully, but you can always make the necessary changes yourself or hire a developer who knows WCAG to do it for you.

    • thank you, that helps.
maybe its a market niche for rockettheme to develop such a template or necessary mambots. after all, at least in europe, educational or official websites must meet theese standards in the meantime. most european countries have released or will release laws regulating this issue.
