Change one module but not reload another?

I have a Flash applet/movie (.swf) that is the main focus of my site. I want to build a Joomla website with the Flash applet on the left that takes up most of the screen, and another box on the right for news, about us, contact, etc. I want to know if Joomla will let me change the box (module) on the right when I click on the appropriate tabs (when I click About Us, the correct box is displayed (etc...) ALL WITHOUT THE ENTIRE PAGE RELOADING, AS I NEED THE FLASH APPLET TO STAY ACTIVE AND INTACT, AND NOT TO RESTART when I click on another tab.
I am not sure I am explaining my question correctly, but to summarize: Is it possible to, when I click a tab, that ONLY one of the "boxes" or "modules" changes, and NOT the entire page??

There is an extension that can do it on "content level":

It could help you out in some way, but not really what you want though. But check it out, it might give you some ideas on how to work around your problem.
