Music Player recommendations?

I'm putting together a site for music publishing and need a decent music player & or Component to assit in some things. Does anyone have any experience setting up this kind of site? I would love to find something that will make use of play lists, be able to categorize songs by genre, style or artist. It would also be nice to control access to the player by registration.
Pie in the sky I realize, but any suggestions would be appreciated.
