I have a fresh account with godaddy, nothing in my html directory or root. When I install into the root which is /html I am unable to access the RT Launcher install via
www.mysite.com
instead I have to set up the account at:
www.mysite.com/Joomla_RT_TerranTribune_j15
, which I have done, no probs.
Obviously I want my domain to point to the new RT set up without typing in the above extension. I've read I must change to the configuration.php file but I only find the configuration.dist.php. file and furthermore, do I edit this locally and then FTP and overwrite? Is this a godaddy issue? They are ducking my requests for help because they don't want to give 'support' because I don't use 'their' install, which is fine but I explained that manual installs (in the case of RT) provide good sample content that you can't get with the auto installs. Is there anyway to install RT Launcher automatically?
I'm confused on this and would love any assistance.
Just wondering if I have phrased my question unclearly or if I am getting into territory that I shouldn't be. I'd love any feedback if you have it regarding how to install the RT Launcher on a godaddy.com domain manually.
Hello,
I am having difficulties with RL on GoDaddy as well.
Are there are specific working instructions yet?
The above question was posted over 2 years ago without response.
Do I need to set up a MySql database through GoDaddys admin panel before
uploading the RT folder? Or is this done through the RL set up?
Please help. Thank you!
Also,
I have found it easier to use the GoDaddy WP Application install
as opposed to the RocketLauncher and then load the Gantry & PlugIns individually.
Also! the WP-Super-Cache add on for WP PlugIn is the shizzle!
