Conflicts with Thick Box, Sobi and the list goes on...

Hi,
I've commented, deleted and more the script (java that is, yes I used the instructional and searched the forum) I've completely deleted the .js file, css file, the you name it file to get thick box to work. Yet, I switch to a non-Rockettheme Template - it works fine along with other extensions.
Are you guys turning into MS? : Exclusively Rockety Extensions Only! :
What can I do to strip RocketTheme templates down to play well with others? Hmmm, maybe a Series of "Extension less edition of RocketTheme Templates" Entitled "Templates" could be released along with the "Extension Heavy Templates" that are currently available. : which I love, but sometimes don't play well with others.
I mean you have the "Essentials" series - stripping down graphics....why not a "MOOLESS series" or an actual just template series?
I will probably be shot for this and will be shunned for life on RocketTheme. Please don't hate me. :'( I just want the extensions to work and use ROCKET THEME ONLY!
Peace Out,
William
By the way I almost cried tears of joy with the new R2 ;D

We use MooTools because it was chosen as the de-facto js lib for Joomla. The problem with js, and js libs in particular is on the whole they don't play nicely together. If you want to have multiple js powered elements you really need to stick to one lib or another. That's why all our js modules are mootools powered, and if you use anything else that is mootools powered you will have no problems. These other non-rockettheme templates probably no zero js in them, so you are having no problems. If you want to strip out the js, that's relatively easy to do. Just switch to splitmenu or suckerfish, and then remove the reference to mootools. Then just ensure you don't use any of the bundled mootools powered js modules.
I strongly suggest to all developers to change their js libs to mootools if they want to have compatibility in the joomla world. I just don't understand why these modules/components are still using these other js libs, it just makes it harder for users and other developers alike.

Thanks Andy for the response - You Guys Rock....
Also, I took a crack at FireBug again...I've tried it several times over the year, but to no avail. Now that I am a little more savvy - it is a good tool and am using it to isolate conflicts, but was thinking stripped down versions of RT would work too - for those not so umm, developed as a web designer.
Hopefully, next year I will be a developer instead of an enveloper (someone who takes what others make and envelopes it and figures out how to use it to its full potential through creativity - I made that up all by myself :)
Peace Out,
William
